Founded in 2023, RESTT is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering survivors and rebuilding lives shattered by abuse. We are committed to our mission of providing support and resources to those in need, fostering resilience, and promoting healing within our community.
RESTT stands for Resources, Education, Stability, Transition, and Transformation — the five pillars that guide every program, every conversation, and every life we touch.
We serve mothers with minor children in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade Counties, FL, who are navigating active criminal cases against abusive partners and seeking a safe, supported path forward.
As a former prosecutor, Jesch Augustin observed the hurdles confronted by survivors of intimate partner violence in their quest for justice, particularly mothers with minors who had to protect their children while seeking help.
This motivated her to facilitate access to crucial resources necessary for survivors to transition from a place of trauma and abuse to one of hope and healing.
What began as one attorney's determination to close the gap between survivors and justice has grown into a multi-disciplinary organization serving families across South Florida.
The urgency of our work is clear: we stand with these brave mothers, ensuring their voices are heard and their paths to justice are accessible. The goal is to address the issues that often led to dropped cases due to lack of victim cooperation.
RESTT is dedicated to easing concerns regarding safety, financial support, and emotional well-being, empowering victims to maintain their resilience throughout the legal process.
Addressing the barriers that cause survivors to disengage from the legal process through comprehensive support.
Providing housing, childcare, and legal protection so mothers can focus on healing without fear.
Equipping survivors with the tools, resources, and community support to rebuild and thrive.
Driven by lived experience, legal expertise, and a deep commitment to community — meet the people behind RESTT.
